Skin Cafe Lightweight & Non-Greasy Sunscreen SPF50 PA+++ | Bangladesh’s Own Sun Protection, Made for Bangladeshi Skin

Up until now, every sunscreen I’ve reviewed for this collection is from Japan, India, or South Korea Ā  skincare markets with their own different climate, skin tone and consumer expectations. The Skin Cafe Lightweight and Non-Greasy Sunscreen SPF50 PA+++ differs in one fundamental and extremely meaningful way. It has been made right in Bangladesh, by a Bangladeshi brand. They understand the exact climate, the exact skin challenges and the exact daily skincare needs that Bangladeshi women face every single morning of every single day throughout the year. This sunscreen has not been adapted from a temperate climate formula. This is a sunscreen designed from the ground up taking into account the tropical heat of Bangladesh, the intense humidity and year-round UV-intensity. On a daily basis, users who want a matte clean completely non-greasy sunscreen that is comfortable for the full range of challenges thrown up by a real Bangladeshi day get just that in Skin Cafe SPF50.

Anti-Mark EffectĀ  Beyond Simple Sun Protection

Skin Cafe SPF50 has an anti-mark preventive effect, a formulation benefit that helps prevent the formation of new dark marks and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation caused by UV exposure in susceptible skins. For the Bangladeshi women – who have dark marks left behind any inflammation of the skin, whether it is acne, an insect bite, or a minor injury, with the addition of anti-mark protection, daily skincare will offer something meaningful, beyond just sun protection.

How to Use?

Generously and evenly apply 20 minutes before sun exposure to face and exposed body areas. Can be applied directly onto the skin under the makeup as a daily sunscreen base. If you are outdoors for long periods or have been sweating or swimming or towel drying, reapply every 2 hours.

What This Actually Means for Your Skin?

Skin Cafe developed and produced in Bangladesh carries meaning beyond national pride. It holds the promise of performing better on Bangladeshi skin and conditions. Although the sun-screens produced for international markets may be excellent and highly rated in the international arena, they are manufactured keeping in mind different temperature ranges, humidity levels, and UV intensity profiles than those experienced by Bangladesh. They could function exceptionally in the springtime of Tokyo or Seoul but have trouble in the summer of Dhaka.

The development team of Skin Cafe designed this sunscreen keeping in mind the climatic demands of Bangladesh. The sunscreen protects against the summer peak heat of 35-degree along with the monsoon 80-percent humidity. The sunscreen also protects against the year-round UV index. The UV index of the country rarely ever goes down and remains moderate or greater even at winter days. The outcome is a sunscreen developed to be effective, and comfortable in exactly those conditions to which Bangladesh’s climate actually gives rise Ā  and not the conditions of a laboratory in an advanced temperate country.

All-Day Comfort in Bangladesh’s Heat

One of the most practically important features of Skin Cafe Lightweight & Non-Greasy Sunscreen is its genuine matte finish. Not the semi-matte, slightly dewy finish that most sunscreens call ā€œmatteā€, but a truly clean, non-shiny, oil-controlling matte that keeps the face fresh and controlled even through the most demanding weather of Bangladesh.By carefully balancing just the right amount of UV filters and skin-conditioning agents, the formula ensures that skin absorbs the sunscreen without leaving any oily surface that will reflect light and make oily skin appear worse under sunscreen. For Bangladeshi women with naturally oily or combination skin, who have tried sunscreen after sunscreen only to find their face looking greasier and shinier by midday than without any product at all, this matte finish is real-world performance they have been searching for.

SPF50 PA+++ — Broad Spectrum Protection That Blocks 98% of UV Rays

The Skin Café’s Lightweight & Non-Greasy Sunscreen offers SPF 50 PA+++ broad-spectrum protection. On one hand, it filters 98% of UVB rays. On the other hand, it means the sunscreen provides very high UVA protection as well. This level of protection is suitable for the UV situation in Bangladesh throughout the year. Similarly, it provides complete daily protection against sunburn, tanning, premature skin ageing, dark spots, and the invisible effects of daily UV exposure on skin over the years without protection.

The formula combines chemical UV filters Octocrylene, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate and Octyl Salicylate along with mineral Titanium Dioxide to achieve broad-spectrum coverage across UVA and UVB wavelengths. Octocrylene also works as a photostabilizer – in other words, it helps the other UV filters remain effective for longer during wear time. Frequent reapplication isn’t necessary with this sunscreen as protection is already sustained.

Non-Comedogenic also Safe for Acne-Prone and Sensitive Bangladeshi Skin

Skin Cafe SPF50 is dermatologically tested and confirmed non-comedogenic which means it won’t block pores and cause acne. Even in warm and humid conditions, which cause other sunscreens to clog the pores, this does not happen with Skin Cafe SPF50. An important non-comedogenic certification which is a necessary help for a huge population in Bangladesh who are acne-prone or blemish-prone users who need reassurance that this daily sunscreen isn’t making their breakout situation worse. You can use this formula every day on sensitive skin types that normally react unfavourably to the smell and harsh chemical additives of most imported sunscreens due to its scent and irritant-free nature.
